Dear Chris:

I am pleased to offer you a two-year appointment from October l5, l980   
through August 3l, l982, in Computer Science at a salary of $25,300 per 
year, contingent on continued government research support at expected
levels.

This would be a full time position doing research in formal reasoning.
You would be free to do additional consulting up to one day a week.
However, Stanford rules require that specific consulting activities be
approved in advance by your supervisor.
